What?

 

Meridian’s International Fest will replace the current Fall Fest. Rather than celebrating Thanksgiving, we will celebrate all cultures with a variety of international performances, activities, and food.

 

When?

Week leading up to 11/4, with some activities taking place during the school day and culminating in an event for all families on Saturday from 10am-3pm. 

10am – 3pm visit booths and food trucks, get your passport stamped, attend student performances

10:15 Kinder & 3rd Grade

11:15 1^st & 4^th Grades 

12:15 2^nd & 5^th Grades

1:30 Secondary Talent Show

 

 

Friday 11/3 – World Parade

·      Classes will participate in an all-school parade, which will take place outside on a route to be determined

·      Students can dress in clothing referencing a country and march with that country or observe as spectators

·      Countries will go in alphabetical order but starting with the United States

 

·      CAFETERIA – World Walk – Families will set up booths for students to “visit” different countries and get their passport stamped 

·      PATIO - Purchase lunch from local food trucks and dine on the "sidewalk cafe"

·      GRASSY FIELD - Secondary clubs will provide internationally themed activities as a fundraiser 

·      BLACK BOX THEATRE - Visit the Barefoot Librarian and her book fair filled with books that align with IB.
