Primary School Opportunities

We are currently taking applications for positions within the Meridian Primary School (K-5) for the positions listed below.   We will accept resumes for any position and hold them for openings that occur.

Special Education Teacher for primary grades (K-5) 

Special Education Paraprofessional (Instructional Aide) for primary grades (K-5)

Part Time French Teacher for grades 4 and 5 – 2 days per week - times negotiable

 

 

The following positions are currently FILLED. However, we will continue to take letters of interest/resumes and should an opening occur for which you have expressed interest, we will call to schedule an interview over the summer. Openings can occur at any time!

K-2 classroom teacher - International Baccalaureate experience preferred but not required

3-5 classroom teacher - International Baccalaureate experience preferred but not required

Substitute Food Service Employee

Full Day: 8am-3:00pm

Half Day: 10am-1:00pm

Compensation: $11.00-$12.00 per hour

 

Requirements:

 

Must hold a Food Handler’s Certificate through Williamson County Health Department.

Must complete a free online Civil Rights Certificate.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to work in a hot and fast paced environment.

Substitute Kitchen Employees will:

Help prepare foods according to standardized recipes

Keep working area clean and sanitary

Focus on job assigned and be a team player

Help set up service lines

Serve meals to the standards set by Meridian World School in a friendly and professional manner

Help with clean up and/or dish duties when needed

Food Service Employee

Full Day: 6:30am-3:00pm

Compensation: $12.00-$13.00 per hour

Must be able to list up to 50lbs.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to work in a hot and fast paced environment.

Food Service Employees will:

Prepare foods according to standardized recipes

Keep working area clean and sanitary

Be a team member and become cross trained on all stations and areas of the kitchen

Help set up service lines in both the Primary and Secondary kitchens

Serve meals to the standards set by Meridian World School in a friendly and professional manner

Help with cleaning duties at the end of each day and be a team player if help is needed with dish duties

Substitute Food Service Employee

Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm – approx. 10 months per year.

Substitutes will be available as an on call or as needed staff member to fill any position in the kitchen.

   Cooks will prepare foods according to standardized recipes
   Keep working area clean and sanitary
   Focus on job assigned and help other team members when needed
   Help set up service lines
   Serve meals to the standards set by Meridian World School in a friendly and professional manner
   Help with dish duties when needed

SUBSTITUTE & PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

Daily and Long-Term Substitute salaries have gone up!  We are currently at or above area school district pay schedules.  Please contact our school office for information.

Certified teachers are needed at this time to substitute at Meridian School for both Primary grades (K-5) and Secondary classes (6-12).    Substituting is a way to get to know faculty, staff and administration. It could be the stepping stone to applying for a teaching position at Meridian School.   Interested applicants should email their letter of interest and resume to principalprimary@mwschool.org for grades K-5 and principalsecondary@mwschool.org for grades 6-12.

Group Leaders engage with students in grades ranging from Kindergarten through 5th grade.  This job requires you to work with each grade level rather than just one specific grade.  The work hours are Monday 1:30-6:00, Tuesday 2:30-6:00, Wednesday 12:00-6:00, Thursday 2:30-6:00, Friday 2:30-6:00.  Up to 23 hours per week


The ideal candidate will 

- Support the Enrichment Coordinator

- Create and carry out comprehensive curriculum plans involving outdoor and indoor activities 

- Possess collaborative, communicative, and creative problem-solving skills while working in a team setting 

- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, work harmoniously with others while accepting responsibilities 

- Communicate thoughts, issues, ideas, etc. well with students and parents

- Have experience in managing groups of 20+ students 

- Possess a desire to participate as an active listener, contributor, motivator, and leader


The pay range is $10-$12 per hour and is based on education and years of experience managing groups of 25 or more children.
