About Meridian Tennis
Meridian Tennis - 2017 TCSAAL State Champions! Both our Boys' Varsity and Girls' Varsity teams are state champions! Meridian tennis players hold 15 state championships for 2017! We look forward to another successful season of Meridian Tennis!
We are excited to announce that in the fall of 2017 Meridian Tennis will be partnering with Cimarron Hills Tennis Academy! Cimarron is located on HWY 29 between I-35 and Ronald Reagan Blvd. The address is 200 Cimarron Hills Tr. Georgetown, TX.
The Fall Developmental Tennis Program and the Spring Tennis season are open to all 7th-12th grade Meridian students. Meridian Tennis is a no-cut program. Everyone who wants to participate in Fall Developmental Tennis and/or Spring Tennis can! During the fall developmental season players will learn the proper mechanics and skills required to try out for the state team. Although Meridian Tennis is a no-cut program for the regular season, we are limited to how many tennis players can participate in the State Tennis Tournament. There will be two-day tryouts for all tennis players interested in competing on the Meridian Tennis State Tournament Team. Attending both days is required for consideration on the State Tennis Team. See Tryouts below for more information. Fall Tennis is offered as a full season or half season. Student athletes participating in other sports might find the half season an ideal option, allowing them to compete in their fall sport while training for the tennis tryouts in January, 2018.
The Spring Tennis season includes team matches.
All practices are held at Cimarron Hills Country Club. See the Practice page for more information. All practices are lead by certified tennis professionals who will also attend matches. No transportation will be provided by Meridian School or its employees to practices or matches. Parents are encouraged to network to make their own arrangements.
