Passport Information

Please turn in a copy of your passport to Mrs. Ilgen in the High School office, so we can take with us on tour, or you may bring your passport to Mrs. Ilgen and she will make a copy. It is important that Meridian has copies of all passports. Make sure to sign your passport and double check to make sure that the name on your passport matches the name you used to sign up with Explorica. The name on your airline ticket and passport must match, or you cannot travel. Passports need to be valid for at least 6 months after the date of return to the U.S.

Tipping

Like any member of the service industry, tour directors and bus drivers depend on tips to make a living. We will gather all the tip money ahead of time and have Mr. Ryder handle the tipping while on the trip. Please have your student bring $70 to cover the costs for tipping, either in cash or a check made payable to Meridian. Please turn in the money to Mrs. Ilgen in the high school office no later than Feb. 17.

Baggage Fee

Some airlines impose a baggage fee. Most airlines charge $25 per bag to travel. This fee will be paid by your student at check-in. Please plan accordingly.
