Kaylene Rudd is the Middle Years Program Coordinator, DP Y2 visual arts teacher and lead Model United Nations Sponsor at Meridian. She brings varied experiences from a wide range of educational and artistic endeavors to all facets of her role. Kaylene received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Ringling College of Art Design in Sarasota, Florida. She worked as a product designer, editorial illustrator and art director before embarking on a career in education. Kaylene is represented internationally through an agency, and has created works for educational publications, novels, editorial pieces and public murals. She was an avid MUN delegate throughout high school in the Netherlands and knew that the students at Meridian would enjoy the internationally relevant learning experience as much as she did. The MUN club at Meridian currently represents over 100 students and visits 5 conferences annually. Kaylene coordinated the Middle Years Program prior to teaching at Meridian and was able to use her previous experience to guide the school through a successful authorization in 2017. She truly enjoys the process of working collaboratively with the teachers at Meridian to continually provide enriching and engaging classroom learning experiences.
