Sal Stow

Sal Stow joined Meridian in January of 2020 as the PYP Music teacher. Sal is originally from Yorkshire, United Kingdom! She moved to Houston, Texas in August 2011. Sal has a Bachelor's Honors degree with a major in Music and minor in Sport from the University of Leicester, UK, followed with a post graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Leeds, UK. She has taught music for 23 years, of which the first 14 years were in the UK in a high school. After moving to Houston, she taught music in IB schools. The school she taught prior to Meridian was a an IB magnet school for Gifted and Talented students. Sal has completed training as a Gifted and Talented teacher. She is also a Texas certified teacher in Music K-12. Sal has completed IB training including category 3 training in Music and Action in the PYP. Sal loves the scope that the IB encompasses and this enables her to create relevant and trans-disciplinary learning in Music. She has served as a mentor to students for the 5th Grade Exhibition at her previous school.
