 Who: All sophomores and juniors
 
What: Practice test for SAT; National Merit scholarship qualifying exam for Jrs.
 
When: 8:30 a.m. until approximately 11:30 a.m.
 
Where: Meridian; room assignment TBD
 
What to bring:
Two #2 pencils
Calculator (four-function, scientific, or graphing)
Photo ID
NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED

 

Test format: 4 sections, total testing time 2 hours and 45 minutes
Reading
60 minutes
47 multiple choice questions
 
Writing and Language
35 minutes
44 passage-based revision and editing question with multiple-choice responses
 
Math – two sections
25 minutes with no calculator
45 minutes with calculator allowed
48 questions; 40 multiple-choice, 8 student-produced response

  
To guess or not to guess…
Scoring
Previously: wrong answers = minus ¼ of a point
Change: now there is no penalty for guessing on the PSAT

 ACT Practice - Spring 2019

 

Meridian will be offering an ACT practice test to all Sophomores during the ACT spring testing
window in the spring semester.
 
Details will be provided to 10th graders through their College Readiness class and to parents
through email in the spring.
