Delegations for Triple A Pick Up:
  • It was recently discovered that Triple A parents/guardians can not delegate another individual to pick up their student in Triple A care through the PikMyKid app. The app requires parents/guardians to choose an alternative pick up mode, with Triple A not listed as an option. We are working closely with PikMyKid to find a work around for this challenge.
  • Until further notice, if you must delegate a pick up person other than a parent/guardian to pick up your student from Triple A, please email triplea@mwschool.org with the delegate’s name and the dates they are eligible to pick up your student. Please instruct your delegate to arrive with a valid government ID and wait outside of the Primary entrance doors with a mask on to be assisted. Once the receptionist checks the delegate’s ID, the Triple A student will be released to them.

Reflection:
  • The Mystery at Meridian enrichment activity on 10/28 was a huge success! The students truly enjoyed solving the riddles all around the school to find Roary the Lion. See a picture of the fun at the bottom of this monthly newsletter.

Patience during Pick-Up:
  • We are so grateful for the patience displayed by those picking up their students from Triple A!
  • Depending on the time of day, students may be outside or on the far side of the school at the time of pick up. This results in longer than usual wait times as the student transitions to retrieve their belongings and arrive at the primary lobby to be dismissed.
  • If there are extenuating circumstances that interfere with your student immediately transitioning to collect their belongings and arrive at the primary lobby to be dismissed, such as your student being in the restroom or at the nurses office, a member of the Triple A team will inform you at pick up.

Communication:
  • In years past, we were able to engage in daily face to face communication with guardians and authorized pick up. This year has posed unique challenges that have altered the way communication looks for Triple A.
  • In an effort to maintain guardian/Triple A leader relationships, communication regarding behavior updates, praise for your student, or minor injuries may be made by the Triple A leader after pick up.
  • Depending on leader availability and/or the type of incident, communication may be made prior to pick up.
  • Guardians are encouraged to email triplea@mwschool.org to communicate with their student’s Triple A leader for any questions, feedback, or specific requests.

  • November 18, 2020
