Sophia Ramirez

Miss Sophia is an IB certified English B Teacher for the Diploma Program including certification by Cambridge University in English as a Second Language (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages [CELTA]) and in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Here at Meridian, she is an Instructional Assistant Tutor for reading and math, and she specializes in education through investigation and student-centered learning, and international exam preparation for IB, IELTS, and CAMBRIDGE for ESL learners. She loves working in team settings and maintains positive relationships as much with her co-workers as with her students. In her free time she sings at different venues around Austin with her husband as they have a musical duo and she loves to explore new places and fun things to do with him and their 2 daughters.
