Ashley Dennes

Ashley Dennes joined the Meridian Family in March of 2022 as a reading interventionist. She grew up as an Air Force Kid and finally settled in Illinois, where she earned her Degree in Elementary Education from McKendree University.
 
Ashley is certified in early childhood through 8th grade,  ESL (English as a Second Language), and Gifted and Talented. She has taught Kinder, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even one year of middle school all at Title 1 campuses.
 
After hearing about our need for a Reading Interventionist, she was eager to jump in and help at Meridian. After being on our campus and learning about the IB curriculum, she was excited to return to the classroom as a 2nd grade teacher!
 
Ashley is also a volleyball coach and Zumba Instructor. She has a real passion for helping others reach their full potential and watching them achieve their goals. She believes in creating memorable learning experiences that students can connect with to have fun while they are learning!
