Nausheen Gilani
Nausheen hails from the city of Nawabs: Hyderabad in India. She holds a
Masters Degree in Teaching from University of London, a Masters Degree in
Arts Education from Institute of Ismaili Studies, a Masters Degree in Psychology
and Bachelors Degree in Education from Osmania University and a Bachelors
Degree in Arts from Shadan Degree College for Women. She has also been
awarded with IB PYP Making it happen category 1 training.

Nausheen feels at home in Austin, Texas after moving here, because of the
warmth shown to her by Austinites. She is experienced with meeting the diverse
needs of students in her care. Nausheen has been teaching for ten years in
diverse contexts. Prior to moving to Austin, she was a full - time homeroom PYP
teacher at an IB school in Singapore.
Nausheen's teaching philosophy is based on collaboration which encourages an
inclusive environment. Through her teaching, she hopes to be an example and
role-model for kindness; and inspire acts of kindness, care and love from and
between the children, which gives them a sense of belonging in the class.
Nausheen finds that becoming a teacher at Meridian is an amazing opportunity
for her to join with other staff and pupils to create a wonderfully diverse and
friendly school community.
Apart from teaching and being with children, she loves traveling as it has
broadened her perspectives and she can see different aspects of life.
