This is Suzanne Orzech’s fifth year at Meridian, and she is thrilled to be a lion! Mrs. Orzech teaches Diploma Programme Spanish to Meridian’s juniors and seniors, and Spanish 3 to 10th graders. She came to our school after teaching in the Round Rock Independent School District for 12 years. She is fluent in both French and Spanish, and has taught both languages at both the middle school and high school levels. Originally from Connecticut, Mrs. Orzech attended both the University of Connecticut and the Université de Rouen in Rouen, France, where she studied Foreign Language Education with a specialty in Translation and Literature and earned the Diplôme Supérieur d'Etudes Françaises (C3). Mrs. Orzech has attended training for both the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Middle Years Programme. She is also an IB Examiner, which means that she grades IB exams from all over the world. She lives in Round Rock with her husband of 27 years, and she has two grown children who make her proud every single day. Mrs. Orzech loves sharing her passion for language, literature and culture with her students!
