COVID-19 Update for Athletics

3/31/20 Update: School Closure Extended Through May 4

Governor Abbott announced today that all Texas schools are to remain closed until Monday, May 4 at the earliest. In the meantime, Meridian will continue with online classes, and we ask that you keep reading all communications coming from the school

From Meridian Athletics
Meridian Athletics follows school closures. While the school is closed or utilizing distance learning, all Athletics activities and in-person gatherings will be suspended. Please email questions to  
From Baylor, Scott & White

The Free Physical Event for this year (5/16/2020) has been cancelled. They hope to reschedule late this summer or in early fall, but for now, their focus is on their COVID-19 patients.

From the League

3/20/20 update: As of now, TCSAAL has not canceled any activities. All TCSAAL activities are suspended. If school resumes we will look to resume as well. If school resumes we will evaluate how much time remains in the school year and release a competition calendar at that time. 


From Georgetown Parks and Rec

All activities on our athletic fields are suspended through at least 5/11/2020. This includes third party rentals at McMaster Athletic Complex. (Meridian Soccer.)


From Cimarron Hills

Cimarron Hills is currently open for normal operations; however, Spring Tennis is suspended until further notice. (Meridian Spring Tennis.)
