Carrie Proctor is starting her 4th year at Meridian, 23rd year as an educator, and 19th year as a counselor while somehow not aging past her early thirties. Her children, Gigi in eighth grade and Roman in fifth grade, are entering their 6th year as Meridian Lions and are maturing at a normal rate. Carrie is a passionately proud (FANATIC) graduate of The Ohio State University (B.S. degree in Human Ecology). She then journeyed to Texas to attend graduate school and refused to leave the warmth and friendliness of Central Texas. She earned her Master’s of Education in Counseling and Guidance from Southwest Texas State (before it became the beloved Texas State of today). Carrie has been involved in volunteer leadership with the Texas Counseling Association and currently serves as their President. She is also serving as a Leader Fellow for Texas OnCourse. As a lifelong learner she likes collecting letters after her name and pursued her L.P.C. license (Licensed Professional Counselor) and N.C.C. credentials (National Certified Counselor) ten years ago. She also enjoys all things Disney including Star Wars. She loves her family: her amazingly supportive husband Chad, their two energetically creative kids, and an adorable dog named Donatello (after the Ninja Turtles and the Artist)
