Carol was born in Brazil and have been living in United States since 2006. She is a Physical Therapist and have a Masters in Kinesiology with specialization in Movement Science from The University of Texas.

After being away from Physical Therapy for a long time, Carol was eager to share her knowledge and passion about science, so she decided to look for some other opportunities where she still could use her knowledge and make a difference. Teach was always something that she loved. During the years, she have had the opportunity to teach in various settings while teacher assistant during undergraduate years and grad school and more recently as a prekindergarten lead teacher. So the decision was easy to make - just add science and teaching together!!!

Carol is married and have 3 children and a black Labrador mix dog called Cam. In her free time, she loves to travel with her family (especially camping), watch movies together and grilling Brazilian barbecue.

Her hope as an educator is to instill a love of learning in all students, as she shares her own passion for learning with them. She will always strive to be the best educator that she can be and she is committed to help students to achieve their goals in the best way possible, providing opportunity for continual learning and growth. Her ultimate goal is promote higher thinking so students can be long life learners who are open-minded, and not afraid to innovate, create and take risks.
