Rob Crowl grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas before attending the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and creative writing. After graduating, he and his wife, decided to plant roots in Austin, Texas where, for the last 9 years, he has worked in education, primarily teaching reading and writing at middle and high school levels. He completed a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a teacher consultant for the Heart of Texas Writing Project. In addition to teaching 9th and Resource English at Meridian, Mr. Crowl teaches Dual-Credit English for Austin Community College as an Adjunct-Professor. He and his wife, Amy Crowl who teaches 7th grade Theater Arts here at Meridian, currently reside in Leander, Texas where they love discovering good food, taking in live music, and spending time with their 3 year old, boy-girl twins, Blithe and Chaplin.
