World Parade: Celebrating our Intercultural Connections

When Meridian celebrated becoming an IB Continuum School, we displayed 70 flags chosen by families of our seniors at the time. Since then, we display the flags during our annual World Parade, and we love to add to the selection as we welcome new families!

Our 5th Annual World Parade takes place on Friday, Nov. 12. During this beloved event, all K-12 students will be given the opportunity to participate in an all-school, live parade and dress up in clothing representing one of the 70+ countries/territories.

Students not participating in the parade will join as spectators.

- This is an in-school event; due to limited space, parents and guardians may not attend. We'll share photos and video!

- Students who have signed up to walk in the parade will come to school dressed in cultural dress or other attire that celebrates the country they're representing.

- Other students will watch the parade; please wear red polos or spirit wear if possible for the school photo that will take place afterward.

- If you need to pick up your student early on Friday for any reason, please pick them up *by 1:30 pm* to ensure that you can easily enter and exit the parking lot. Students picked up early will miss the parade and photo.

- Dismissal traffic won't be allowed on campus until after the photo is finished (anticipated by 3-3:10 pm). This includes Fast Lane.
