Meridian plastic film recycling drive with Ridwell

Meridian School has joined Ridwell’s plastic bag recycling drive for schools! Do you have plastic bags saved up to recycle but don’t know what to do with them? Start saving bags now and bring them to the school between May 13 and May 16 – we’ll turn them into Ridwell to recycle! Here’s a handy pdf with what types of plastic film are accepted.

So what is Ridwell? It’s a home pickup recycling service that takes several hard-to-recycle items, from batteries to light bulbs to textiles and even multilayer plastics (like food bags)! A rotating category includes electronics, corks, books, eye glasses, and more. If 10 Meridian families sign up for the service through this link between now and May 31, the school will receive free plastic film pickup for next school year! Want to learn more about Ridwell? See this quick video!
