Dismissal Updates

Parents,

Both arrival and dismissal have gone extremely well for the first two days of the new school year. After a delay due to rain, the right turn lane from Mays is now open and should help move things along.

In an effort to make the lines move even faster, please review the following changes and reminders:

PRIMARY DISMISSAL

If you pick up in the green lane during primary dismissal, please be aware that we will start using the orange lane to stack in more cars. This is something we do in the blue line during secondary dismissal which helps to get more cars on our property and fewer cars backed up on Mays. A staff member will be there to direct traffic. When the line starts moving we will "zipper" cars back into one line.

Please note that NO U-TURNS should be made on Mays. City ordinance also states that no left turn should be made from Mays between noon and 5pm. While it's easy to miss, there are signs posted and RRPD has been known to ticket accordingly.

SECONDARY DISMISSAL

We ask that you please try not to arrive before 3:55pm. Secondary students don't come out until 4:00. Arriving earlier means you are likely to get mixed up in primary's dismissal. If this happens we will kindly ask you to loop back around until primary dismissal is over.
