Aaron Holman

Aaron Holman teaches Theory of Knowledge, Government, and Economics. He started teaching at Meridian in 2022. Mr. Holman started his teaching career in 2000 as a high school English teacher. Starting in 2001, Mr. Holman began teaching AP English IV and continued to teach AP Eng. IV until 2022. He has read for the AP exam since 2008. Mr. Holman started teaching in the IB program in 2020. He taught IB DP English Literature and Language.

During his teaching career, Mr. Holman has taught or sponsored creative writing, yearbook, video editing (a student of his was selected for SXSW), debate (won 2 state UIL Policy Debate titles), asst. Volleyball coach, and head tennis coach. He has also held a number of leadership roles at previous school districts and has given PD to teachers on AP English literature and incorporating reading and writing across the curriculum. He was a district lead AP English teacher and English department chair. Mr. Holman also taught at Austin Community College as an Adjunct English instructor for 4 years.

Mr. Holman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Southwest Texas State (Texas State) and a Master of Liberal Arts from St. Edward’s University in Austin.

In his spare time, Mr. Holman enjoys playing tennis, reading Stephen King novels, spending time with his wife and watching his kids in all of their activities.
