Leah Lieurance

Leah Lieurance joined Meridian in August 2011 as a sixth grade teacher and a member of the school's first faculty. Beginning in August of 2012, Leah became the K-12 Librarian and IB-PYP Coordinator for Meridian. She currently serves as the PYP Coordinator and Primary Media Specialist, overseeing the primary library and primary instructional technology. Leah has a Bachelors degree in education and a Masters in curriculum and instruction, with a focus in instructional technology from Baylor University. She came to Meridian from St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Waco, a private IB-PYP campus, where she taught 4th and 6th grades and became the school’s PYP Coordinator and Director of Admissions and Technology. She is certified in Kinder through Eighth, with a specialization in intermediate math. She was extensively trained in the IB-PYP and is a workshop leader, consultant, and site evaluation visitor for the IB organization. She was drawn to Meridian because of her love of IB and the prospect of joining a team of teachers hired specifically to implement (and excited about) the IB program.
