Primary School K-5 Instruction Moves to Distance Learning

November 14, 2020
Meridian School Families,

A primary school staff member who has broad contact with students and staff across K-5 grade levels began feeling ill late yesterday. The staff member was tested and the result was positive for COVID 19. In consultation with the Williamson County & Cities Health District, all primary school students will pivot to distance learning starting Monday morning and continuing through Friday.

This staff member did not have contact with Middle or High School students, thus their instruction will continue on campus and through distance learning with no change.

K-5 Parents will receive direction from your grade level teacher. Your return to campus will be Monday, November 30th.
CDC guidelines detail quarantine lengths for those in close contact with someone who has tested positive. The CDC guidelines indicate that a person who is exposed to someone who was exposed is not at risk.
Secondary siblings of primary students may attend in-person learning.
