Statewide Emergency Alert System Test Scheduled for April 2, 2026

TDEM is holding a statewide test of local emergency alert systems.

 

The statewide test will take place on April 2, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. During this time, people across the state may receive emergency alerts from local, county, and state agencies where they live or work.

 

Please note:

  • The test will evaluate the effectiveness and functionality of public emergency alert systems.
  • The test is scheduled for April 2, 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • Individuals may receive alerts from multiple agencies depending on their location at the time of the test.
  • Community members are encouraged to visit Warn Central Texas to register for alerts or verify that their contact information is current.
  • Ensure that emergency alert notifications are enabled on all mobile devices.
