Meridian Math E-Camps

Our math department has been hard at work to create an engaging, tailored online summer math transition program to help our students feel confident and prepared when they return in the fall. We highly encourage all of our rising 6-11 grade students to take time this summer to invest in their future through math skill building.

At-A-Glance:

Who: Rising 6-11 grade students

When: Four two-week modules

Module 1: June 01 - June 14

Module 2: June 15 - June 28

Module 3: June 29 - July 12

Module 4: July 13 - July 26

Details: The E-Camp consists of four modules, each of which will be available for two weeks. Within each two-week period, students can move through the module at their own pace. Each module will include 25 math problems, along with a mix of short reviews/notes, hints, or videos to support learning. If a student misses the deadline, they will not be able to go back to the previous module.

Expectations: Students will work through the problems without the aid of AI or copying other students. Parents and guardians can help their students learn, but the work should be completed by the student themselves.

The goal is twofold:

  • Students will increase their confidence in math, help them retain what they learned the year prior, and develop the important skill on how to do math on their own.
  • Meridian teachers will get a better idea of where your child is in their math progression so that they can begin early interventions and tutoring when school starts (if needed).

This is intended to be a helpful learning tool for our students. The work will not be graded and will not impact your student’s GPA.

Incoming DP students: to help you bridge the gap between MYP and DP, rising 11th graders will kick off the summer with an 3-Day DP Jumpstart (In Person; dates coming soon).

After that, DP students will follow the four online modules.
