The Distinctions in Achievement in these ratings compare Meridian to similar schools (taking into account campus size, student populations, socio-economic levels, and more).
Meridian has enjoyed an 'A' rating every year since opening in 2011. Administration continues to look for areas of improvement to meet students where they are and help them grow.
"We haven’t always received all seven distinctions, as “Closing the Gaps” and “Academic Growth” can be difficult to achieve for high performing districts," said Founder & Superintendent Karalei Nunn.
"This is our second year in a row to attain all seven and this is truly an example of how well our teams are working together. We make it our mission to see every child, and to work with parents to do our best for every student. These two distinctions are strong indicators that that effort is successfully happening inside our classrooms to the benefit of Meridian students."
The seven exceptional achievement designations include:
- Academic Achievement in Reading/Language Arts
- Academic Achievement in Mathematics
- Academic Achievement in Science
- Academic Achievement in Social Studies
- Top 25 Percent: Comparative Academic Growth
- Top 25 Percent: Comparative Closing the Gaps
- Postsecondary Readiness
