Stay late following the Festival of Cultures for a Holi Celebration on the Primary blacktop! There will be colorful powder to throw in the air and onto shirts. This is free and open to all Meridian families!

What is Holi?

Holi is a colorful spring festival with roots in Indian traditions, celebrated across South Asia and around the world. It marks renewal, joy, and new beginnings. During Holi, people throw bright powders to celebrate spring, community, and happiness together.

What to Expect

  • Festive music
  • LOTS of colorful powder
  • Wear white or light clothing so the colors shine!
  • Throw powder into the air or onto shirts. Please avoid eyes, ears, and mouth.

What to Bring

  • Clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting colorful (powder may stain!)
  • Towels for car seats after the event
  • Optional: Extra clothes and eye protection (sunglasses/goggles)

Please note: there will be no general re-entry into Meridian buildings following the event.

Limited white Meridian T shirts and sunglasses will be available for purchase at the gate.
