Kevin Barnes

In a galaxy not so far away…

 

A long time ago, in the high plains of West Texas, a young mind awakened to the powers of logic and language. He was known only as Barnes, a gifted apprentice in the twin disciplines of Mathematics and Communication Studies. His training was completed at the legendary Academy of Texas Tech, where he graduated in the year 1997, ready to face the universe.

But destiny had more in store for him.

 

During his year of apprentice teaching, Barnes encountered a kindred spirit—Julie, a fellow Lion and warrior of wisdom. Their alliance was swift and unbreakable. In the year 1999, they were united in a sacred bond. Soon after, their clan grew: in 2001, their firstborn—Makenna, the Star of the North—arrived, followed by Maclaine the Bright, in 2004. Together, they became a family forged in love and learning.

 

By 1998, Barnes had officially begun his lifelong mission: to illuminate young minds through the power of math. With chalk as his lightsaber and equations as his battle code, he fought ignorance on the front lines of the classroom.

 

But like all great heroes, Barnes continued to evolve. In the year 2022, he achieved a new level of mastery, earning his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, followed by the rare and powerful Principal’s Certification in 2023.

 

For 19 cycles, he served with honor at Round Rock High School, until the stars aligned and called him back to the realm of the Lions in 2025. There, he would take on a new challenge—training young minds in DP Applications, part of the elite IB Order. That summer, he attended the sacred IB training, equipping himself with the ancient knowledge required for this new quest.

 

But his journey did not end there.

 

In the shadows of night, while others sleep, Mr. Barnes continues his academic saga—seeking a Master’s in Applied Statistics from the mighty halls of Purdue University. His dream? To become a data sorcerer of the sports realm, a statistician whose insights could shift the fate of MLB empires or shape the strategies of the PGA elite.

 

When the battle is done and the day fades, Barnes finds peace in the Jedi texts of reading, the serene duels of golf, and the galactic sagas of Star Wars and Marvel. He is not just a teacher. He is not just a father.

 

He is a Guardian of Knowledge. A Warrior of Numbers. A Lion of Legacy.
