Nancy Santucci

After retiring in 2021, Nancy Santucci is excited to be at Meridian World School for the 2025-26 school year doing what she loves: teaching reading and writing to small groups of students.

Her career in education began after graduating from Michigan State University with a BA in Elementary Education. She moved to Texas to teach second grade, but it was the next year, teaching first grade, when she fell in love with teaching reading.

Nancy continued her education at the University of Houston for an MA in Reading and Language Arts. She is a Texas certified Reading Specialist because reading is power. When students are able to access information and think critically for themselves through reading, writing, speaking, and listening, they are empowered. Nancy wants students to be able to live their dreams and become whatever they wish, and her job as a Dyslexia and Writing Interventionist is to give them the tools, skills and strategies and opportunities that guide this development.

If you were to visit Nancy's home, she would probably be reading with her husband and two cats nearby. If not there, go outside. She also likes to walk and workout, but better check the balcony chairs; she might be reading in the sunshine.
