Zoe Rothenberger

Mrs. Rothenberger has been teaching at Meridian World School since January of 2018 after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and completing the UTeach program for her Secondary Math teaching credential. She has enjoyed teaching a variety of math classes in the MYP (from Math 7 up to Algebra 2) and has loved getting to know every single Meridian Lion even more throughout her time at Meridian. She has completed Category 2 training both in person and online. 
 
She has sponsored multiple clubs, including the National Honor Society and the Class of 2025, but is now focused on leading the 9th grade teachers as the 9th Grade Team Lead. In 2019, she was awarded a Knowles Teaching Fellowship and has since completed all 5 years developing as a math teacher leader. As a Senior Fellow, she engages in professional development through Knowles and values learning with other teachers across the United States. 

She loves making others laugh and truly believes the best thing a kid can feel in a math classroom is loved and happy. It’s no surprise that in her free time, she enjoys watching TV shows that make her laugh (like shows on Dropout, Taskmaster, and Survivor). She is also often caught on tangents about her six cats, adventures she goes on with her spouse, or her hobbies like quilting, reading, and hockey (all of which she somehow is always able to tie back to math…)
