Cross Country Meet - Leander HS "Battle for Wilco"

The course goes around the 2 mile loop surrounding the park/cricket field. The course is primarily crushed granite, grass, and does have a few road crossings. The course will be flagged and marked with a chalk line and we will have plenty of course workers to help athletes navigate the course and keep the roadways safe for the runners to cross during their race.  

Spectator Parking: Coach Trefny recommends arriving prior to 8am because when runners are crossing the road, they will hold up vehicle traffic until there is a break in the runners...and parking is further away as well.  Please follow the attached parking map and drive the long way around the park to reach their parking lot and exit the same way. This route has the least interference with the races.  The designated parking for spectators will be at the track or at the baseball fields. The park has asked coaches to tell their fans not to park in the gravel parking lot on the left side of the main road at the front of the park, because this is reserved for park staff and disc golf course, and also to not park along the main road in the grass. The park directors are very proud of their facilities and have asked me to please make sure all spectators park in the correct areas.

Team Camp: Team camps will be set up in the grassy oval in the middle traffic oval between the track and soccer field parking lots. Athletes cannot set up hammocks along any of the fencing or small trees in the park.

Restrooms: Will be located near the tennis courts and also at the track.

Awards:  They will be medaling the top 5 5A-6A and top 5 1A-4A relay teams in each division. The Open Division will receive times, but no awards.
