Jenna Fleming from Georgetown Child and Family Counseling returns this month to discuss "How to Cultivate a Growth Mindset for Your Student and Family." What is a growth mindset verses a locked mind-set? How can we start to live as if we have potential to grow and learn without viewing the results and self with a binary lens of pass/fail, good/bad, win/lose?  Our inner and outer dialogue informs ourselves and our children of how we view them, the world, and our expectations. Let's explore together ways to direct our narratives in terms of growth and potential so that our children can build resilience in the face of failure, mistakes, and mishaps.

Jenna Fleming is a licensed professional and nationally board-certified counselor.  She is a former teacher and school counselor and currently works in private practice and is the owner of Georgetown Child & Family Counseling.  Jenna often provides training to parents, teachers, and counselors on topics to help kids and families be well and shine brightly.  As a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner, Jenna brings with her a focus on helping families strengthen relationships and navigate difficult behaviors and challenges in an approachable way.
