To help relieve morning carline traffic, ‘Early Green Lane’ will open with a modified drop off at 7:20 a.m. starting Monday, September 18. Staff will not arrive to open vehicle doors until 7:30 a.m. Instead, there will be a staff member stationed at the gate into the courtyard and someone inside each of the cafeterias, where students may wait until 7:30 a.m.
This means that families with students younger than 2nd grade should wait for the regular carline at 7:30 a.m. because these students need extra help exiting vehicles.
There will be no change to Yellow and Blue Lane (open at 7:30 a.m.), and students in those lanes must remain inside their vehicles until 7:30 a.m.
If you choose to drop off early in Green Lane, please know:
- Students must be able to exit their vehicle themselves, without adult assistance.
- Students should exit through the drivers’ side (the school side).
- Drive aware. Wait until the vehicle in front of you pulls away before leaving the carline. As always, carefully look for students around your vehicle before moving.
- Primary students wait in the primary cafeteria until 7:30 a.m.
- Secondary students wait in the HSC (High School Cafe) until 7:30 a.m.
- Breakfast service starts at 7:30 a.m.
