Back to School Nights
Meet your teachers, catch up with friends, get your car tags, shop for new spirit wear and embroidered logo polo shirts, meet community partners, and learn about resources to encourage a successful start to the school year!

Primary (K-5)
- Grades 1, 3, 5: Wednesday, August 5 from 4-6 p.m.
- Grades K, 2, 4: Thursday, August 6 from 4-6 p.m.
We recommend beginning in the classroom and then enjoying additional activities so that you have enough time to meet your teacher.
Teacher assignments will be posted in Skyward on August 5. Click on the Schedule tile; your child's teacher is listed next to “Homeroom." 👀
Secondary (6-12)
- 6th Grade: Friday, August 7 from 4-6 p.m. (New this year!)
- 7th-8th Grade: Monday, August 10 from 4-6 p.m.
- 9th-12th Grade: Monday, August 10 from 5-7 p.m.
Grades 9-12 can drop off tissues and copy paper from your supply list on Back to School Night.
7th Grade or New to Meridian: Schedules cannot be released if immunizations are not cleared with the nurse. The State of Texas requires that all students must receive vaccinations for Tdap and Meningococcal before beginning 7th grade. If you haven't already, please bring them with you at BTSN or email [email protected]. 👀
Uniform Exchange
Saturday, August 1 from 10 a.m. - noon
Shop at the Uniform Exchange for gently worn uniform pieces, including spirit wear and College shirts! Each piece is just a $2 donation to Volunteers in Partnership Teacher Grants.
If you volunteered 20 hours or more last school year, you can shop early at 9:30 (your name will be on a list for early access).
The uniform exchange is in the MPR in the primary building. Cash/Credit Card accepted.
Uniform Guidelines and Dress Code
Please review these important uniform guidelines before purchasing uniforms, including guidance on shorts, skirts and shoes.
Polo colors:
- Grades K-12 may wear red
- Grades K-5 may also wear grey
- Grades 9-12 may also wear black polos with embroidered logo
- Grades 11-12 may also wear grey Oxford button downs with embroidered logo
Secondary students (6-12): When do you need an embroidered logo?
Each Monday, all students in grades 6-12 wear a polo with an embroidered Meridian logo. Tuesday-Friday, red polo shirts do not require logos.
You can purchase these at RockSports, Back to School Nights, or Lands End, or bring polos to RockSports or GTX to be embroidered. Logos are always required on black polo shirts (grades 9-12) and gray Oxford shirts (grades 11-12).
Spirit wear Sale
RockSports is offering 2025-2026 spirit wear at just $5 per item! (Does not include polos or 'evergreen' designs like jackets or twill sweatshirts). Host a Foreign Exchange Student!
Meridian is proud to welcome foreign exchange students each year, and many of our K-12 families have participated by hosting students at their home for a semester or school year. It's an enriching and rewarding experience for all! Contact Diploma Program Principal Stela Holcombe to learn more.
