Whole Foods received hundreds of entries in August 2015 for their Kids Cooking Challenge!, out of which six finalists were selected. The finalists were then invited to prepare their recipes at a local culinary school on September 26. Jash's dish was a Chickpea Lettuce Wrap with Strawberry Lassi which he was required to make for five judges in 45 minutes. Jash's recipe won first place and was selected on the basis of flavor, health value, and presentation.
As the grand prize winner, Jash will receive a rainwater collection barrel for our school and be featured in Austin Fit Magazine. Way to go, Jash!
