At last week's Board Meeting, Mr. Fernández announced that several Meridian students have received scholarships to attend one of the three IB World Student Conferences offered this summer.
The International Baccalaureate Organization awarded five all-expense paid scholarships to students in Texas, and three of those students attend Meridian:
Teanna Barrett - Washington D.C.
Ruth Befekedu - Hong Kong
Vidya Choutagunta - Rotterdam
Texas International Baccalaureate Schools (TIBS) awarded 11 of their 14 partial scholarships to Meridian students. Each will receive all but their airfare at no cost (this includes registration, room & board, and ground transportation):

Peyton Cole - Hong Kong
Isabelle Hanna - Hong Kong
Katherine Jackson - Hong Kong
Isabella Juarez - Rotterdam
Mohit Nadkarni - Hong Kong
Carson Raleigh - Hong Kong
Edith Vigushin - Washington D.C.
Amie Walling - Hong Kong
Kiernan Work - Rotterdam
