What is the Meridian Annual Fund?
The Meridian Annual Fund is our school’s main fundraising campaign. It takes the place of traditional school wide fundraisers, such as cookie dough sales or candy bars. Annual Fund donations have helped us to expand our school’s libraries, technology, sustainability efforts, and teacher training to enhance the learning experience at Meridian!
What is the Student Opportunities Fund?
At Meridian, we believe that every student, regardless of their financial situation, should be able to participate in opportunities the school offers.
That is why we have the Student Opportunities Fund. With this fund we can reduce the cost of IB exams, extracurricular activities, field trips and more for families in need.
When you donate to our Student Opportunities Fund, you're helping us provide essential access to resources and opportunities for all of our students.
- $75: can cover school supplies for a student
- $125: can cover one IB exam
- $750: can cover all six IB exams for one student

What is the Library Book Fund?
Dedicate a Library Book in honor of a special occasion!
Donate to the Meridian Library Book Fund and dedicate a book to your student, friend, or family member. It's both a lasting way to honor someone special and an impactful donation to our libraries and students.
Here's the process:
-
Our librarians will order a book, and a bookplate dedication will be placed in the front cover
-
We will mail a card to the honoree notifying them of your special gift. Your new book will become a permanent part of the Meridian School Library!
-
Your student can be the first to check out the book!

What is the difference between the Annual Fund and other Meridian fundraising?
The Annual Fund is a school wide fundraiser that supports all of the people and the infrastructure that educates our students and helps to keep the school running. It covers the majority of the budget gap between state funding and what we actually need to provide the IB continuum education we offer. When we are fully funded, we maintain our mandated reserves and cover our expenses every year. The healthier our budget and reserves, the more we can implement new ideas, provide more professional development, and retain/attract high-quality educators and staff.
Other fundraisers done through out the year are driven by various clubs and groups at school for specific goals. These fundraisers provide an opportunity to build community while also raising extra funds for the clubs and organizations putting them on. Our Volunteers in Partnership (ViP) host events and fundraisers to raise money for teacher grants which fund special projects, specific classroom needs and other items not in the Meridian operating budget.
