Homework

Students will not have regular weekly or daily homework, though there may be occasional planner or curriculum connections that we ask students to complete.

 

We recommend that students read for 20 minutes each day.  Talking through what they have read would be beneficial for increasing comprehension.

 

Math in Focus Home Connections includes chapter information and suggested activities.

The Fry 100 sight word list has words first graders should be able to read and write by the end of the year. Our Sounds to Spelling words are in a different order, but include many of the same words. These will be listed on the newsletter for weekly practice.
