Pam Hess joined Meridian in August of 2012 as a third grade teacher. Pam grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Baylor University with degrees in business and accounting, and began work as a business analyst with an IT firm in Austin. However, she could not seem to forget her "other dream" of becoming a teacher. Wanting to experience this challenge, she went back to college at Texas State University and graduated with a masters in elementary education. Pam is certified to teach prekindergarten through sixth grade and ESL (English as a Second Language). She came to Meridian from Round Rock ISD and has completed Category 1 and advanced IB-PYP training. Pam enthusiastically believes in educating the whole child, which is what attracted her to Meridian's mission statement. She believes inquiry based curriculum fosters life-long learning as well as productive citizens.
