Melissa Reese

Melissa Reese serves as the Primary School Principal, after having joined Meridian in 2018 as the Assistant Principal for third through fifth grade students.

Ms. Reese was born and raised in Central Texas, where her family still resides. She graduated from Tarleton State University in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in education and taught third and fourth grade at an IB/PYP school in Killeen for eight years. She received her Master's degree in Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2014. While working toward that degree, Melissa accepted an offer to become the IB/PYP Coordinator at an Elementary school in Waco, Texas. She also was the Professional Development School (PDS) Site Coordinator for the PYP campus and Baylor University. This helped build the relationship to host Baylor education students to their partnership campus, and she continued to guide this school through their IB journey, taking them through a very successful evaluation. In 2017, Ms. Reese accepted the position as Assistant Principal at that school.

In hopes to move closer to the Round Rock area and be a part of this wonderful school, Melissa accepted the position of Assistant Principal at Meridian. She has since become the Primary School Principal. She is excited about the opportunity to see the IB Continuum from PYP to DP. She truly believes that through IB, every child can be valuable citizens of our world. She has attended category I and many category 2 and 3 PYP trainings.

Melissa is married to her high school sweetheart, Chris, and has three daughters. Lindsey, Meridian's Primary Art teacher; Ashley, a nursing student in college; and her youngest, Lillian, recently graduated high school. She loves her faith, her family, and her fur babies.
