Health Related Required Notices
- Meridian School ensures that students engage in the amount and level of physical activity required by Tex. Educ. Code §28.002.
- Meridian School does not offer vending machines on campus.
- The school has adopted and enforces policies and procedures that penalize the use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) by students and others on school grounds or at school-sponsored or school-related activities.
- Parents/guardians may require in writing their child’s physical fitness assessment results at the conclusion of the school year.
- Meridian School has one part-time nurse and clinic aides.
- Meridian School employs five counselors and a part-time college counselor.
- The Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) met four times in the 2024-2025 school year.

Sexual Education Curriculum/Materials
Meridian World School annually presents a sexual education to students in grades 4-10. Parents and guardians must opt in annually for their student. An alternative assignment will be given to students not participating. Communications are sent via newsletter each year before the annual presentations.
