Who: For primary students (K-5) who need after school care Monday through Friday.
What: Students break into small groups by age level and enjoy outdoor recess, snack time, and themed enrichment activities. Students also get the opportunity to come together for fashion & talent shows, performances, science & inventions weeks, and more!

Early Release Wednesday (K-5)
After School Wednesday only
1:05 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Who: For primary students (K-5) who need after school care on Wednesdays only. Special enrichment-heavy activities happen each Wednesday as students wrap up their weekly theme!
How to register: Read the Early Release Wednesday webpage and follow the instructions. There, a link will direct you to MySchoolBucks to pay the $65 registration fee.

Waiters Program (K-5)
After School Monday – Friday
Who: For primary students (K-5) who have secondary siblings (6-12). This allows K-12 siblings to be picked up at the same time. Students wait by grade level in a classroom until secondary dismissal.
How to register: Read the Waiters Program webpage and follow the instructions. There, a link will direct you to MySchoolBucks to register and pay the $30/semester or $60/annual commitment fee. Please note that if the secondary sibling is absent or staying late, the primary sibling must take the regular primary carline.

Who: For secondary students (6-12) who can not be picked up at the 4:10 p.m. (MTTF) or 1:30 p.m. (W) dismissal or those who need a place to be before or after their extracurricular activities. Students are not permitted to remain on campus unsupervised after carline.
How to register: Read the After School 6-12 webpage and follow the instructions. A link on the webpage will direct you to MySchoolBucks to register and pay the $100/semester/student commitment fee.

Performance Choir (3-6): Registration is now open. Students perform songs and movement from different genres like show tunes, movie songs, and pop. The choir meets Mondays from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. in the fall. Ms. Stow will send an email in August to the first 46 registered. For more information contact Sal Stow.
Black Culture Choir (1-12, plus Family, Staff, Alumni): Registration is now open to all interested students, staff, alumni, and parents/guardians. The choir meets Thursdays from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. starting in October. For more information contact Monique Swain.
Math Pentathlon (K-7): The Math Pentathlon program promotes a love of math and teaches students logical thinking and strategy. Practice is Saturdays from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Registration opens in the fall.
2026-2027 Competitive and Performance Club Registrations
Get ready to register for 2026-2027 competitive and performance clubs! The tentative registration windows are as follows:
- After School Music (7-12) - Registering Wednesday, August 12 (first day of school) through 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 20.
- Speech & Debate Club (9-12) - Registration for this competitive club is scheduled to open Wednesday, August 19 and end at 9 p.m. on Thursday, August 27. Spots limited to the first 49 registrants!
- HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) (9-12) - Registering Wednesday, August 26 through 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 3.
- Model United Nations (6-12) - Model UN is Meridian’s largest club and is open to all secondary students! Registration opens Wednesday, September 2 and will end at 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 10.
- DECA (9-12) - DECA is a student organization that prepares high school students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Registration is scheduled to open on Wednesday, September 16 and end at 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 24.
Please watch for updates about these competitive and performance clubs in the MYP Mane and DP Lions Share campus newsletters when school resumes in August. Please encourage students to watch the daily announcements at school to avoid missing out on these opportunities. No late registrations will be available.
2026-2027 Clubs and Student Groups (6-12)
Clubs at Meridian are student-driven. Shortly after school resumes in August, students may apply to activate a club. All clubs must complete the activation process and receive approval before they can begin meeting. Clubs will continue to form during the first few weeks of school. Students are encouraged to watch the daily announcement slides for club opportunities and updates throughout the start of the school year.
Fall Sports (7-12):
- Registration for Dance Team, Flag Football and Volleyball is closed.
- Students who enrolled at Meridian after April 22 may reach out to the registrar between May 18 and July 20 to request access to the Newly-Enrolled Student Registration.
