2nd Grade

During 2nd Grade the skills begin to move to the next level. In singing the students prepare songs in English and other languages that have 2-parts. New note durations will be introduced to develop their rhythm skills. Students will complete rhythm and composition activities that require them to maintain a beat and demonstrate rhythm accuracy.
Each unit of inquiry connects to the central idea and lines of inquiry the students are exploring in their grade level classroom. This forges new connections and builds transdisciplinary learning.
