Special Education
Meridian World School provides students with disabilities appropriate educational services designed to meet the individual needs of the students to the same extent as the needs of students without disabilities.
An appropriate education for a student with a disability under special education in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities ACT (IDEA) may include instructional and related services in the least restrictive environment (LRE). An appropriate education for a student under Section 504 regulations consists of education in the general education classrooms with supplementary services and supports.
Proposals for Related Services
Meridian World School Special Education Programme partners with independent contractors to provide related services including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Vision Instruction, Orientation and Mobility, Adapted Physical Education, Music Therapy, and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
