She is here to:

  • Help you feel better connected to the Meridian community
  • Serve as Title IX Coordinator for students
  • Provide guidance and feedback for challenging situations
  • Ensure your sense of belonging at Meridian

Serving the Meridian community gives Mrs. Swain the opportunity to share her personal interests and to encourage others to express what sparks their interest while “enjoying a good life with others.”

Mrs. Swain has a Bachelor's degree in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University and a Master's degree in Family and Child Studies from Texas State University. She brings over 20 years of experience in child development in roles such as Teen Parent Program Coordinator, Child Development Specialist, Licensed Child Care Director, Event Coordinator, and Director Trainer.

Mrs. Swain is married to Lenard Swain, the Meridian Martial Arts Instructor, and they have a super cool daughter who attends Meridian. Mrs. Swain loves singing, dancing, relaxing, spending time with her family and friends, and serving as one of the Meridian Black Student Union advisors.

She loves to hear from the community! If you have ideas you’d like to share or want to chat, send her an email. Be sure to say hi when you see her smiling and greeting others around campus!
