Leah Delafield joined Meridian in August 2011 as a sixth grade teacher and a member of the school's first faculty.  Beginning in August of 2012, Leah became the Librarian and  IB-PYP Coordinator for Meridian's primary school.  She has since served as the PYP Coordinator and instructional technologist/media specialist, integrating the positions to meet the needs of the school.  Leah has a bachelors degree in education and a masters in curriculum and instruction, with a focus in instructional technology from Baylor University. She came to Meridian from St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Waco, a private IB-PYP campus where she taught 4th and 6th grades and became the school’s PYP Coordinator and Director of Admissions and Technology. She is certified in grades four through eight, with a specialization in intermediate math.   She was extensively trained in the IB-PYP and is a workshop leader, consultant and site evaluation visitor for the IB organization.  She was drawn to Meridian because of her love of IB and the prospect of joining a team of teachers hired specifically to implement (and excited about) the IB program.
