Leila Khoram-Work joined Meridian in August 2011 as a fourth grade teacher and a member of the school's first faculty.   Leila was born in Tehran, Iran and immigrated to Ann Arbor, Michigan, which is where she grew up. Leila graduated from Michigan State University and Northeastern University in Boston with a masters in public administration. A move to Texas allowed her to complete her teaching certification at Texas State University.  Leila is certified to teach grades pre-kindergarten through eight and special education.  Her interests have kept her focused on teaching intermediate grades.  Leila became involved with Meridian as a member of the Circle of Founding Families.   The concept of learning through inquiry has intrigued her for some time, and she felt it would be a good match for her professionally, as well as for her family.  Leila has completed Category I and advanced IB-PYP trainings.
