Pre-Season Basketball - Fall 2025
***SUBJECT TO CHANGE***
Registration is now closed. |
Updated training schedule and fees on August 26 before registration opens.
2025 Fall Pre-Season Basketball
While there are no tryouts for Pre-Season sports experiences, they are not designed for beginners but rather intermediate-level student athletes who have some experience with the sport and are committed to using this opportunity to grow their skills and get ready for tryouts for the competitive season. Students who do not wear proper attire or come with a good attitude ready to train hard will be removed from the program. Because 6th graders cannot try out for competitive sports, Pre-Season sports experiences are not open to 6th graders in the fall.
About Fall Developmental/Pre-Season Basketball:
- Experience level: Intermediate. Participants should know the fundamentals of the sport and have some experience playing it.
- Commitment level: Participants are expected to attend in proper attire and have a positive, hard working attitude.
- Equipment & Attire: Participants must wear athletic clothes and non-scuff athletic shoes or basketball shoes to all practices. Students must bring a full bottle of water to each practice. Failure to dress properly and bring water will result in the student being asked to sit out that practice.
- Eligibility: Physical Eligibility and Financial Eligibility required. Academic eligibility does not apply to Pre-Season Soccer. Physical forms are due by Thursday, September 4. Learn more here.
- Tryouts: No tryouts.
- Competitions: None. Pre-Season Basketball is training only -- no competitions.

Competitive Basketball Season - Please note that registration in Pre-Season Basketball is separate from registration for the Competitive Basketball season. Registration for the Competitive Basketball season opens on Wednesday, September 10 and ends at 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 18. Tryouts are required for Competitive Basketball. Tryouts for Competitive Basketball are scheduled for Sunday, September 28. If you wish to try out for Competitive Basketball, you must register for that sports experience during the registration window. The tryout schedule and Competitive Basketball season details will be available when registration opens on September 10. Participation in the Fall Pre-Season Basketball season does not guarantee participants a spot on a Competitive Basketball team this winter. However, the skills and conditioning acquired in this pre-season sports experience should help student athletes become more prepared for tryouts.
There are no tryouts for pre-season sports experiences. Just make sure you are physically eligible and have paid your participation fee before beginning to participate. Don’t forget to come dressed in appropriate attire and bring your water bottle.
