Secondary Enrichment News

Fall Break

Secondary Enrichment is closed for Fall Break from October 3 - October 11.

Academic Eligibility

Friday, October 2 marked the end of grading quarter 1. Per state law and Meridian school rules, any students who fail or receive an incomplete in at least one class for the quarter are ineligible to compete or perform in extracurricular activities (Athletics, After School Theatre, After School Orchestra, Model UN, DECA, HOSA, Speech & Debate, etc.). For these students, academic eligibility ends at 4:10 PM on Monday, October 19 and can be regained on Wednesday, November 18 if passing all classes on the grading quarter 2 Progress Report.

Students can and should continue to attend meetings and practices while academically ineligible. They cannot compete or perform with their extracurricular activity while academically ineligible.

2026-2027 Competitive and Performance Clubs

Registration for After School Band, After School Orchestra, the high school Speech and Debate Club, DECA, HOSA, and Model United Nations are now closed. No late registration is available.

2026-2027 Clubs and Student Groups

Clubs at Meridian are student-driven. All clubs must complete the activation process and receive approval before they can begin meeting. Clubs will continue to form during the first few weeks of school. Students are encouraged to watch the daily announcement slides for club opportunities and updates throughout the start of the school year.

Letter Jackets

If you missed the on-campus Letter Jacket ordering event, please contact the vendor directly. All orders must be approved by the school before placed. The earliest orders will be approved is July 20. Letter Jackets & Lettering

No Pass No Play/Academic Eligibility

Under state law, students must be academically eligible to compete and perform with their extracurricular activity. This applies to all extracurricular activities with competitions and performances such as Theatre, Band, Orchestra, Model UN, DECA, Robotics Club, etc.
