Overview

For the 2025-2026 season, Meridian Athletics will form the Fierce Dance Team, which is open to rising 7th-12th grade students. Fierce Dance Team competes in up to three area competitions and performs at Meridian's pep rallies and some home basketball games.

Monday, March 31 - Registration opens for the 2025-2026 season.

Thursday, April 10 at 9:00 p.m. - Registration ends for the 2025-2026 season.

Monday May 5, 4:20 - 5:50 p.m. - Mandatory Pre-Tryout Practice - Learn compulsory routine.

Tuesday, May 6, 4:20 - 5:50 p.m. - Mandatory Pre-Tryout Practice - Practice compulsory routine.

Wednesday, May 7, 4:20 - 5:50 p.m. - Pre-Tryout Practice - Practice compulsory routine (optional practice)

Thursday, May 8, 4:20 - 5:50 p.m. - Pre-Tryout Practice - Practice compulsory routine (optional practice)

Saturday, May 10, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Tryouts

Tuesday, May 13 - Invoices for participation fees are issued via MySchoolBucks

Friday, May 16 - Participation fees due by MySchoolBucks (or first payment if on a payment plan)

June 9 - July 13 - Athletics Department closed for summer. Please plan accordingly.

Monday, July 21 - Late registration opens ($104.60)

Wednesday, July 30 - Late registration ends at 9 p.m.

Thursday, August 7 - First practice

Tuesday, August 12 - Tryouts for students who registered as newly enrolled students (May 19 - July 13) and for students who registered late (July 21 - 9 p.m. on July 30).

Competitions & Performances

The Fierce Dance Team will compete in four categories in three competitions at the JV level. The competition season is late January through March. As soon as the competitions are open for registration, they will be booked and the Dance Team’s competition schedule will be updated.

Coach

Coach Tiffany Jones will coach the 2025-2026 Fierce Dance Team.

 

Registration - Late registration is now open.

Late registration ($104.60) is now open and ends at 9 p.m. on July 30.

 

Regular registration ended at 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 10.

 

Registration for newly enrolled students was May 19 - July 13.

 

Lettering & Letter Jackets

Lettering in an extracurricular activity is reserved for the highest level of participation. For Dance Team, this means Dance Officers, who train and compete at the Varsity level.
