2020 Fall Dance

Updated 11/23/2020

Meridian has been using the information provided by the Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) to guide our decisions for Athletics. As of 11/19/20, WCCHD reported that the County is in the Red / Uncontrolled Community Spread phase, which is characterized by very high community transmission. Due to the fact that athletics are an extracurricular activity, Meridian has suspended indoor sports, with the potential for cancellation, until further notice. We are still hopeful that our outdoor Spring Sports will operate as planned, which means that our Fall and Winter Sports seasons will need to conclude by the scheduled end date.

In an effort to avoid suspending Dance with the potential for cancellation, we will be moving outside to the Senior Parking Lot (just outside the Mays Café and Band Hall) for the balance of the season, weather permitting. Our schedule will remain the same. Only our location has changed.
Masks must be worn and physical distancing must be maintained during our outdoor practices and final performance as well.
Families are welcome to observe from their cars and are asked not to gather.
Plans for Meridian Athletics might change
prior to the start of the sport's season or during the season
if we receive recommendations from the local Health District
or the State to further limit athletic activities.

Subject to change

Fall Dance

It is the intent for Fall Dance to begin September 26th if in Phase II/Yellow by September 14th. To keep participation fees as low as possible and to minimize changes due to postponed or cancelled competitions, this year’s Fall Dance season will be intramural only. Meridian will not participate in interscholastic competitions. Spectators at indoor athletic events will be prohibited through the fall semester on campus. We do plan to schedule live-streamed performances.
